How does the commission process work? Please fill in the form below then Debbie will contact you about your painting. Once the details are worked out, you make your deposit and she gets started on your commission.
What about reference photos? Debbie always prefers to take her own photos, but if you live outside of Amarillo (or Texas), that is not possible. In that case, you provide 6-10 reference photos of your home or pet. Photos may be sent by e-mail or (US mail to P.O. Box 20487 Amarillo, TX 79114).
NOTE: In submitting photos to Debbie, you are indicating that you are the photographer and owner of the original photos and that you grant her full permission to use the photos to create your painting.
As you provide reference pictures, please note which ones have the most accurate coloring of your home or pet (since this can vary greatly with sunlight and time of day).
HOMES- Panoramic shots that show the home in context plus several zoom-in shots, all taken from one vantage point across the street from the home, are necessary.
PETS- Close ups of face are needed. Photographing pets is tricky because they are so easily distracted so a zoom lens is really helpful in this case. Please contact Debbie if you have questions.
When do I pay for my portrait? A $50 non-refundable deposit is expected upon order. Balance is due upon shipment/delivery. Payments may be made online using the link below.
What if I don’t like my painting? Debbie’s work is fully guaranteed. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the painting, simply return it within 10 days in its original packaging for a refund (less deposit and shipping).
How long does this take? Typically, it takes 4-6 weeks from time of order to time of delivery. Due to the rush at Christmas time, November 15th is last day Christmas orders are guaranteed for delivery before December 25th.
